Congratulations, you have a healthy fridge! You shop for healthy options that help not only with weight loss but other benefits like digestion, healthy skin and more. Continue to decipher food options that may look healthy but really are not. When you can, purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables is always better than their frozen varieties.

Mostly 1 and 2

You’re on your way to a healthy fridge and freezer. There are a few things you could toss, such as the roast beef or ham lunch meat or hot dogs and brats. If you have quite a few frozen veggies and fruits consider purchasing fresh instead.

Start to understand the differences between food groups that offer a range of good and not so healthy options. Things like fruit can offer a wide range of healthy to not so healthy options. Berries, apples, and oranges are much healthier for you than pineapple, watermelon, and grapes.

Mostly 2 and 3

It’s time to revamp the inventory of your fridge and freezer. While it’s nice to have quick meals when you are on the go, actively planning your meals can help find healthier options that can also be quick. Consider eating an assortment of fresh fruits and veggies along with hummus instead of popping an appetizer in the microwave.

Try and shop the outer edge of the grocery store where the freshest (not frozen) grocery items can be found. Above all else, cut alcohol from your diet as it lets your body detox which assists in better digestion.
